A quick preview of the new direction for the Harmony UI. Since the project is in the final semester, aptly named the implementation phase, the final design language must be nailed down.

The Facebook integration is a core component for the Harmony project, therefore important to have strong Facebook branding integrated into the language.

The Harmony Wall is a projector based on the Ultra Short throw lens system. It allows the projector to be placed right up against the projection surface. The user uses both voice control for general commands while using motion sensing gestures for more granular interactions such as adjusting the timeline and volume.

"Home Base" is one of the key features of the Harmony Wall, it allows the unit to interface directly with utility appliances such as air conditioners and heaters, smart energy meters, and home lighting systems. At any time, the user's Facebook Timeline can be called up and it is displayed on top of the current screen.

Currently, I am in the third of four "phases" (Preperation, Research, Design & Implementation) in my thesis program at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Project Harmony is the culmination of my work through the first two phases. For the next three months, the design on the Harmony product line will near completion and updates will be posted here on my personal site.
